Visalia house fire causes $300,000 in damage

A fire that started in a garage caused about $300,000 in damages to a home in Visalia late Tuesday night, the Fire Department said.

All four residents of the home at 4848 W. Reese Ave. escaped the fire without injury. Firefighters contained the blaze, which was reported at 10:46 p.m., within about 30 minutes.

The fire damaged two vehicles. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
