Blood drives set for Valley locations

The Central California Blood Center will hold a series of blood drives across the San Joaquin Valley starting Sunday.

Donors must be in good general health, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be at least 17 years old.

The blood center suggests donors should eat a good meal and drink plenty of water within 4 hours prior to their donation.

The blood drives will be held at the following locations:

Sunday: Trinity Lutheran Church, 3973 N. Cedar Ave., Fresno, 9:30 a.m.-noon; Immanuel Lutheran Church, 5955 S. Elm Ave., Fresno, 9 a.m.-noon; St. Paul Newman Center, 1572 E. Barstow Ave., Fresno, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; Fresno First Baptist Church, 1400 E. Saginaw Way, Fresno, 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

March 25: AAA, Los Banos, 919 Pacheco Blvd., Los Banos, 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.; AAA, Hanford, 780 N. Irwin St., Hanford, 9 a.m.-noon.

March 26: Fresno County Department of Social Services, Selma, Town & Country Shopping Center (McCall/Dinuba avenues), 3800 McCall Ave., Selma, 2-5 p.m.; Coalinga Regional Medical Center, 1191 W. Phelps Ave., 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; Kaplan College, 44 Shaw Ave., Clovis, 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m.; city of Clovis, 1033 Fifth St., Clovis, 1-4 p.m.

March 27: Waterman Industries, 2550 Road 204, Exeter, 8-11:30 a.m.; Kaiser Permanente Farmers Market, 7300 North Fresno St., Fresno, 8:30 a.m.-noon; Fresno County Department of Social Services, Reedley, 1680 East Manning Avenue, Reedley, 2-5 p.m.

March 28: Porterville Developmental Center, 26501 Ave. 140, Porterville, 12:30-4:30 p.m.; Lowe's Home Improvement, 1955 W. Lacey Blvd., Hanford, 2-6 p.m.; Milan Institute, 731 West Shaw Ave., Clovis, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.; Manco Abbott Inc, 6051 N. Fresno St., Suite 210, Fresno, 10:45 a.m.-1:45 p.m.

March 29: Boomers, 7354 North Abby St., Fresno, 3-6 p.m.; Carl's Jr, Kettleman City, 33300 Hubert Way, Kettleman City, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

March 30: Battle of the Badges Chili Cook-Off & Car Show, Lemoore Arbor (Follett & E streets), Lemoore, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.; Boy Scouts of America, 1880 Gettysburg Ave., Clovis, 9 a.m.-noon; Crazy Squirrel Game Store, 464 E. Bullard #105, Fresno, 1-4 p.m.
