A 13-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of shooting a flare gun into a home in Visalia last week in an incident that police said was gang-related.

The flare gun cartridge was shot through a living room window and landed in the home about 9:40 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of Northeast Third Avenue, police said. Several people were in the home, but no one was injured.

Witnesses gave officers a description of two people who ran from the home.

The 13-year-old was booked into the Tulare County juvenile hall for shooting at an inhabited dwelling, arson and conspiracy.

Anyone with information on the case or the identity of the second person believed to be involved can call detective Chris Jennings (559) 713-4727 or the anonymous tip line at (559) 713-4738.
