Two passengers killed in a solo vehicle crash Saturday east of Hanford were identified by the Kings County coroner as Maria Maldonado, 49, and Julian Maldonado, 90, both of Armona.

A 27-year-old woman was driving a Hyundai Elantra west on Highway 198 near 6th Avenue just after 3 p.m. when she drifted left into the dirt median, the California Highway Patrol said. The woman over-corrected and the vehicle spun off the road, went down and embankment and overturned.

The driver had minor injuries. Another passenger, a 22-year-old woman, was taken to Community Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
