Major League Soccer announced Tuesday that Chivas USA defender Joaquin Velasquez has had his fine and one-game suspension, stemming from a red card at the weekend, rescinded.

The red card was issued in the 40th minute of Sunday's match against the Los Angeles Galaxy, but an independent review panel has rescinded the subsesquent punishment.

Velasquez will be eligible for Chivas USA's game this Sunday against the Chicago Fire.
