10:50 p.m.: A power outage caused by a single vehicle car accident on Chestnut north of Barstow Avenue earlier Tuesday morning left parts of the University Farm Laboratory in the dark, including the Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market, according to Fresno State.

The market was closed until 10:30 a.m. when a back-up generator restored power.

The northbound lane of Chestnut remains closed while repairs are under way, Fresno State reports.

Fresno State farm manager Mike Mosinski said a PG&E crew is on scene and expects full power to be restored by Tuesday afternoon.

Gibson Farm Market updates are available at its web site: http://www.fresnostate.edu/agf/farmmarket/.

A day after its grand opening, the Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market at Fresno State closed temporarily Tuesday morning, due to an unexpected power outage.

Fresno State officials said they are working on reopening the store Tuesday afternoon using a backup generator.
