It is difficult for us to know how conscientious a population we have in the Fresno area until we personally need some emergency assistance.

On March 5, I stumbled and fell, face down, on the parking lot asphalt while leaving the Fresno DMV building at Blackstone and Sierra avenues. I was dazed, but not quite unconscious.

Within a few seconds, several men were checking me out before helping me get up and supporting me while I cleared my mind and regained some of my composure. Shortly thereafter, another man handed me my billfold, which had fallen out of my pocket.

All of these heroes stayed with me until I walked to my car. I wish to thank all of these wonderful guys for helping me and teaching me what a great population we have in this Valley!
