Flowering fruit trees are in full blossom east of Reedley. Wednesday is officially the first day of spring, but Valley trees have been flowering since February. Springlike weather is forecast for the region today, with daytime highs in the Valley expected to hit the upper 70s and lows dipping into the 50s. But a 40%-50% chance of rain is expected to greet the official start of spring on Wednesday.
