Not being a financial expert, I don't have any personal recommendations to make to City Hall for its budget woes. However, I do know that Fresno Unified School District is in sound financial shape and better than most school districts in the region.

Before Superintendent Michael Hanson, the district suffered from serious financial dysfunction. He and his staff brought it to back to good health. I'm thinking they could teach City Hall a thing or two, so why not use them as consultants in this emergency? City Hall should ask Chief Financial Officer Ruth Quinto and her staff for assistance.
