Fresno police arrest 9 at DUI checkpoint

Fresno police arrested nine people on suspicion of driving under the influence during a DUI checkpoint in southeast Fresno late Saturday night.

The checkpoint was held in the northbound lanes of First Street at Tulare Avenue. Officers also impounded 14 vehicles because drivers were arrested on suspicion of DUI or did not have a valid driver's license.
