What would Jesus do?

If Jesus were walking around on earth today, he might rock the boat by saying something like, "Come with me, followers of God. Let's get some shovels, facemasks, rented trailers and trucks, and go downtown and pick up the garbage of the homeless." A display of leadership would unite the troops, make life better for the neighborhoods and upset the status quo.

Jesus taught his followers to serve the least of the least, poorest of the poor. Serving! What a great concept! What a tool for putting the gospel and the spirit of Christ on display!

The resources are there. Is the Christian leadership? Or are we too busy doing church stuff, making money, putting on Easter programs, planning our next auto or home purchase?

When the shepherds lead, will the sheep follow? Will the shepherds lead? Or will it interfere too much with the building programs?
