Announcements

Quinn Lift Inc. in Selma has been recognized as a 2013 "Quest for Excellence" Dealer of the Year by Cat Lift Trucks. Quinn Lift received this honor for its dedication to providing customers with superior service and after-market support throughout 2012.

Marc J. Vasquez and son, Marc C. Vasquez, have co-founded a new financial advisory group, DVF Advisors.

Dairy producer Jeff Wilbur has been re-elected to serve as secretary on the executive committee of the California Milk Advisory Board, the promotional arm of the state's dairy farmers.

Coles Insurance Services Inc., DBA Rio Mesa Insurance Agency, recently purchased Mayes Insurance Services Inc., DBA Willow Insurance Associates. The agency will operate out of an office at 3134 Willow Ave., Suite 102, in Clovis and provide a greater presence in the Fresno/Clovis area representing Safeco Insurance.

Achievements

Teter LLP announced that Aya Shitanishi was granted her architectural license from the California Architects Board. She received a bachelor of arts in architecture from the University of California at Berkeley, and will continue servicing the firm's public agency clients through the Fresno headquarters office.

Awards

DiBuduo & DeFendis Insurance (D&D) in Fresno was named Capital Insurance Group® (CIG) Agency of the Year for 2012. In addition to receiving the Agency of the Year award, a recognition for long-term performance, the agency also was selected as the Central Valley Agency of the Year. CIG bestowed this award to D&D in recognition of its performance, relationship commitment and largest overall sales growth.

New Faces

Angie Avila has been appointed interim chief executive officer for the Tulare County Fair. She has been in the fair industry for the past 26 years and brings leadership, experience and vision to the fair.

Donna Silva has joined Security First Bank in Fresno as vice president business banking officer. She has more than 30 years of experience in banking, was a branch manager for 18 years and has worked with both community and commercial banks.

Anita Edwards has joined DVF Advisors Group as manager of customer services, and Lucy U. Vasquez has joined as director of public relations.

Promotions

Central Valley Community Bank has announced the promotion of two employees: Cody Lyman assistant vice president, commercial loan officer for the Clovis Main office and Debra Bradley Walker, small business development officer for the River Park Commercial Team. Lyman will be responsible for developing new business banking relationships and servicing an existing loan portfolio in the greater Fresno area. Walker will be responsible for developing personal and small business banking relationships in the greater Fresno area.
