The Tulare County Sheriff's Department reported that one person was shot Friday in Orosi.
Deputies were called to Road 116 and Avenue 416 about 5 p.m. and found a male victim, no age given, who was airlifted to a Fresno hospital.
He told deputies that he was shot several times by someone he didn't know as he was walking north on Road 128 south of Avenue 416, the sheriff's department said.
He is under observation at the hospital. Anyone with information is asked to call the violent crimes detectives at (559) 735-1877.
