A 20-year-old man suspected of trying to use his car to hit a witness to an after-school fight in northwest Fresno was arrested Thursday, Fresno police Sgt. Carl McKnight said.
A witness attempted to write down the license plate number of the 20-year-old suspect's car after the primary aggressor of a fight in a Walgreens parking lot at Ashlan and Cornelia avenues jumped into his car, McKnight said. The suspect then attempted to hit the witness with his car three separate times before driving away.
McKnight said the driver had a video of the fight on his cellphone and several other witnesses saw him attempt to hit the victim with his car.
The man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
