Visalia police arrested two people during a traffic stop on Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of drug possession for sales and conspiracy, spokeswoman Sgt. Amy Watkins said.

A 43-year-old woman and 34-year-old man were stopped in rural Tulare County while police served three search warrants at homes in Farmersville, Visalia and Tulare, Watkins said.

One ounce of heroin, $3,000 in cash, drug paraphernalia and other narcotics were found in the searches.
