A man was injured and two men were arrested in connection with an explosion at an indoor marijuana lab in Visalia early Wednesday, police said.

An officer patrolling about 2:45 a.m. heard an explosion from a building in the 300 block of South Dunworth Street. The officer saw three men leave the building. One 32-year-old man had suffered burns and was taken by air ambulance to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.

Officers booked the other two men -- 21 and 25 -- into the Tulare County jail on suspicion of possessing concentrated cannabis and marijuana for sale, cultivation and maintaining a clandestine lab, police said. Charges on the injured man are pending.

Visalia police later searched the building and found an indoor marijuana grow and a lab used to process concentrated cannabis.

Visalia fire officials said the building's sprinkler system kept the fire from spreading. Damage was estimated at $5,000.
