MWC tournament: Wyoming men, Nevada women win

arry Nance Jr. scored 19 points and Leonard Washington 18 to lead Wyoming to an 85-81 win over Nevada in the play-in game to open the Mountain West Conference men's basketball tournament Tuesday night.

Trailing by four at halftime, the Cowboys opened the second half with a 19-4 run.

Nance was 9 of 10 from the field for the eighth-seeded Cowboys (19-12), who play 15th-ranked and top-seeded New Mexico today. Deonte Burton scored 27 for ninth-seeded Nevada (12-19).

-- Danika Sharp had 25 points, seven assists and four steals to lead the ninth-seeded Nevada women (8-22) past eighth-seeded Air Force (4-26) 80-66. The Wolf Pack faces top-seeded San Diego State on Thursday.
