The Oakland Raiders cut ties with former first-round pick Darrius Heyward-Bey, along with defensive back Michael Huff and defensive end David Tollefson, on Tuesday.

The Raiders selected Heyward-Bey out of Maryland with the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. Over 15 games last season, Heyward-Bey caught 41 passes for 606 yards and a career-high five touchdowns.

Huff, who was also selected seventh overall by Oakland in the 2006 NFL Draft, had 56 tackles and two interceptions over 16 games last season. The Texas product's best season came in 2010 when he tallied 94 tackles and three interceptions.

Tollefson spent five seasons with the New York Giants (2007-2011) before joining the Raiders in 2012. He was a member of Oakland's practice squad for part of the 2007 season. Tollefson appeared in 15 games last season and had eight tackles.
