Clovis Walmart Supercenter opens Wednesday

The new Walmart Supercenter will open with a ribbon cutting in the Clovis Crossing Regional Shopping Center at 7:30 a.m. today.

The Walmart is the anchor store for the new shopping center at Herndon and Clovis avenues that also includes HomeGoods, Ulta, Petco and other stores. Walmart will carry a full line of groceries, including some organic products, a pharmacy, and lawn and garden items.

It will be open from 6 a.m. to midnight daily and employ 280 part- and full-time workers.

The grand opening celebration includes the presentation of $10,000 in grants to local community groups.
