Jed Lowrie went 2-for-3 with a homer and drove in three runs to lead the Oakland Athletics to a 7-5 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks in spring training action.

Lowrie hit a two-run shot that scored Coco Crisp in the third inning, then brought Daric Barton home with a double in the fifth. Seth Smith and Michael Choice drove in a run apiece for the Athletics.

However, Athletics starting pitcher Brett Anderson lasted just eight pitches before leaving the game with a strained neck. He allowed two runs -- one earned -- and didn't record an out.

Chris Owings hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning for the Diamondbacks, who were 3-for-12 with runners in scoring position. A.J. Pollock and Matt Davidson drove in the other two runs.

Diamondbacks pitcher Tyler Skaggs allowed four runs on four hits and walked two over four innings.
