Two men suspected of cultivating marijuana with an indoor system in northeast Fresno that allowed them to grow year-round were arrested Thursday night, police Sgt. Paul Cervantes said.
After receiving information that people inside a home on Vassar Avenue just east of Highway 41 and south of Clinton Avenue were attempting to sell marijuana and had a gun, police surrounded the home and arrested two men about 11 p.m., Cervantes said. A search of the house revealed at least 200 plants in various stages of growth, a system that allowed for year-round marijuana cultivation and a handgun.
The two men said the marijuana was for medicinal use, Cervantes said.
They were booked into the Fresno County Jail on drug and weapons offenses.
