Lecture program features Mennonites
A lecture program -- "Mennonites in the New World: Divergent Stories" -- will be presented at the California Mennonite Historical Society's annual meeting Friday and next Saturday at Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary, 1717 S. Chestnut Ave.
Royden Loewen, professor of history and chairman of Mennonite studies at University of Winnipeg, will speak on:
"Horse and Buggy Genius: My Travels with the Old Colony Mennonites in Bolivia" at 2:30 p.m. Friday.
"The Quiet in the Land: Finding the Mennonite Soul in North American Soil" at 3:30 p.m. next Saturday.
"A Mennonite 'Fin de Siecle': The Late Century Re-Imagining of Mennonite Faith and Culture" at 7:30 p.m. next Saturday.
Also Saturday, Loewen will have a book signing at 5 p.m., followed by a banquet at 6 p.m.

'Feasts of the Lord' course will begin
A six-week course on "Feasts of the Lord" begins at 6 p.m. March 17 at Calvary Worship Center, 4581 E. Dakota Ave.
The course is designed for those who want to experience the wonders of the Feasts of the Lord and how they foreshadow prophecies yet to be fulfilled.
The course will be held on Sunday evenings. The other dates are March 24 and April 7, 14, 21 and 28. Each session begins with praise and worship.

Church has speaker for Seder presentation
Lyn Rosen Bond, a representative of Jews for Jesus ministry, will give a presentation on the Jewish Seder meal at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Easton's Immanuel Lutheran Church, 5955 S. Elm Ave.
Bond is the oldest daughter of Jews for Jesus founders Moishe and Ceil Rosen.
The church is offering participants a bowl of soup before the presentation.
The event is free, although reservations are needed.
