Fresno man arrested in fatal stabbing of gang member

Fresno police have arrested a 28-year-old Fresno man wanted for a stabbing death last month.

Justice Pajarillo was arrested Tuesday morning at an apartment complex on the 4000 block of East Dakota Avenue. He was booked into Fresno County Jail.

The fatal stabbing occurred just before midnight on Feb. 26 at an apartment complex on the 3300 block of North Sierra Vista Avenue. When officers arrived, they found Tommy Hurtado, 21, in an apartment with a stab wound. Hurtado was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where he died.

Detectives learned that Hurtado was stabbed by an acquaintance during a fight. Both men knew each other and are Bulldog gang members, Sgt. David Ramos said.

A Fresno man arrested for the stabbing death of his uncle last week was released from Fresno County Jail after the Fresno County District Attorney's Office decided not to file charges against him.

Joseph Corrales, 30, was arrested March 30 for the stabbing of his uncle, Tommy Peralta at the 4565 E. Mono Ave. home where they lived.

When police arrived, Corrales admitted to stabbing Peralta, 49, in a disagreement.

A man was fatally stabbed Saturday afternoon at a southeast Fresno home, Fresno police Lt. Jose Garza said.

The stabbing was reported at 5:30 p.m. at a home in the 4500 block of East Mono Avenue, Garza said. Inside the home was the victim, who was born in 1964, and his uncle, 44. The victim had several stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel, Garza said.

Police are questioning the uncle, but no arrests have been made, Garza said.
