Rosie Moult and Jeanna Furst likely will cherish this one for quite a while.
The seniors recorded their 100th victory at Fresno State in an 80-55 rout over Air Force in a Mountain West Conference women's basketball game Saturday afternoon in Colorado Springs, Colo.
"Not many student-athletes can claim they have won 100 games in four years," Bulldogs coach Raegan Pebley said. "Being the type of teammates Rosie and Jeanna are, they would want to acknowledge those that helped them along the way achieve something so special."
The Bulldogs recorded their sixth straight victory on the road and improved to 20-8 overall and 12-3 in the conference. The lopsided margin of victory was the largest of the season in conference play.
Moult finished with 15 points and had a career-high seven steals with seven rebounds and four assists. Furst added five points, hitting 2 of 3 shots.
The Bulldogs' defense was problematic for the Falcons. Fresno State forced Air Force (4-23, 2-11) into 28 turnovers and had 21 steals, tying for the fifth-most in conference history.
The Bulldogs scored 30 points off the Falcons' turnovers.
"We loved our aggressiveness on defense and willingness to share the ball on offense," Pebley said. "Air Force is a team that will bring a lot of energy to each game and it is clear that their whole team is committed to that.
"We spoke as a team that we had to be ready to match that."
Fresno State had a season-high 26 assists and shot 47% from the field.
Bulldogs point guard Taylor Thompson set a career-high with nine assists, and Ki-Ki Moore was her usual strong contributor with her ninth 20-point game of the season, finishing with 24 on 11-of-15 shooting.
Moore matched her career-high with eight assists and also had seven rebounds and five steals.
Air Force shot the ball at a 36.1% clip in the game, with three players sharing team-high scoring honors with 11 points.
Fresno State, outrebounded for most of the season, battled the Falcons to a 39-39 stalemate on the boards.
