Eric Hosmer finished 3-for-3 with a solo home run and two RBI, as the Kansas City Royals defeated the San Francisco Giants, 9-5, on Saturday in spring training action.

Mike Moustakas clubbed a two-run home run, while Anthony Seratelli added two RBI and a run scored for the Royals. Kansas City starter Jeremy Guthrie gave up two runs on four hits over two innings.

Luis Mendoza allowed just two hits over two scoreless innings of relief work to earn the victory.

Brandon Belt went 4-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored, while Gary Brown clubbed a two-run homer for the Giants, who saw reliever Chris Heston surrender four runs -- three earned -- on six hits over 1 2/3 frames.
