PASADENA -- None of the 14 competitors in the "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice" competition will be able to claim ignorance if they get blindsided in the boardroom -- they've all been through the "firing" process by Donald Trump before.

The latest version of the NBC reality competition series brings together 14 fan favorites who will fight for a $250,000 check for their favorite charity. The winner will be named May 19.

The celebrity contestants are Trace Adkins, Stephen Baldwin, Gary Busey, Marilu Henner, La Toya Jackson, Penn Jillette, Lil Jon, Claudia Jordan, Bret Michaels, Omarosa Manigault, Lisa Rinna, Brande Roderick, Dennis Rodman and Dee Snider.

Here's what some of the players had to say about this year's battles.

Marilu Henner on her strategy: "I'm gonna make sure that I really keep my eye on the ball in terms of not getting involved in some of the fray that would happen. We all kind of knew going in what everyone was like. And we also knew that not only was everybody going to up their game, the tasks were harder, but it was so much more fun than the first time I played. "

Omarosa on the battles in the boardroom: "We have a rule called, 'Leave it in the boardroom,' which means you go in the boardroom, you fight for your life, you fight for your charity, and you're supposed to leave it in the boardroom."

Penn Jillette on battles in the boardroom: "This is not magic time. It's part of your life. What happens in your life is all real, so I've never even considered the idea of leaving it in the boardroom. My judgments and my feelings about other people are molded by everything that happens, including the boardroom."

Gary Busey on his toughest opponent: "The volatile conflict I have is with myself. And if you want to see your worst enemy, look in the mirror. So I was there to stay out of my way and help others, help others like me, and I'm very likable."

Trace Adkins on how he's used what he learned from the show: "I don't think I've ever learned anything doing this show that I've used anywhere else."

Stephen Baldwin on the competition: "The coolest thing for me about this season is that everybody's played the game before, and for me, there was a level of terror involved because the only person that I really liked during this process was Trace."

Lil Jon on how the show changed the public's view of him: "I guess it gave people a different look of me. Like everybody said, this is a real show. We're going through real situations, and what you see is really what happens. So I guess people saw that I was a nice guy. I try to like even though in this season I try to diffuse the drama."
