They have been as routine as they've been powerful -- unforgiving runs that have turned competitive games into Bullard High's romps in boys basketball for three seasons.
"We've got a lot of firepower," Knights senior guard Adam Armstead says. "And when we get the momentum going, it's really hard to stop us."
The latest example occurred Wednesday night before a capacity crowd of 1,600 in the Bullard gym as the top-seeded Knights defeated No. 5 Clovis North 55-33 to advance to their third straight Central Section Division I championship against Clovis West.

It will be played Saturday at 8 p.m. at Selland Arena following Bullard title wins there of 69-55 last season and 54-51 in 2011 over the Golden Eagles.
"I'm excited about a three-peat," Knights junior forward Calvin Young said after a six-block performance that electrified Wednesday's blowout. "It started with them and I think it should end with them."
Bullard (26-2) led Clovis North 15-14 with 3 minutes remaining in the second quarter. Then zap!, a 24-2 run bridging the second and third quarters that suddenly removed all drama.
"They're magical runs," said the author of it all -- Knights coach Tony Amundsen.
Bullard is 61-3 against section competition with an average point differential of 26.4 in the past three seasons.
It all has begun on the defensive end where the long-armed Knights suck the air out of opponents with relentless traps behind the 6-4 Armstead, his 6-2 brother Austin, 6-5 Corey Silverstrom, 6-3 Jarred Morrill, 6-3 Taran Malhi, 6-4 Young and the one little guy, 5-9 point guard Chris Russell.
"It's all cyclical," Amundsen said. "It feeds off itself. When you score a basket, you play harder on defense. When you play harder on defense, you get another turnover, score another basket and it just keeps on going."
Young had three of his blocks in the key sequence.
"He's a game changer, no question about it," Amundsen said.
Adam Armstead, the front man on the press, scored seven of his 15 points in the run.
"That constant pressure," Clovis North coach Rob Streeter said. "If you're not strong, solid and confident with the ball, they're going to make you pay. And they've got the athletes to keep flying at you."
Colin Slater closed a remarkable freshman season with 16 points for the Broncos (18-11).
