Kaleb Cowart and J.B. Shuck each drove in a run in the bottom of the ninth inning to help the Angels salvage an 8-8 tie with the Giants in Cactus League play.

Sergio Romo gave up the two runs in the ninth, but struck out Luis Jimenez with Shuck on second to end the game.

Taylor Lindsey and Travis Witherspoon each knocked in a pair of runs for the Angels, whose starter, Nick Maronde, gave up two runs -- one earned -- on three hits over 1 1/3 innings.

Ryan Vogelsong struck out four and allowed just one hit over three scoreless innings for the Giants, who received a three-run homer from Angel Pagan in the sixth inning.
