It was a rough day for former Fresno State running back Robbie Rouse at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis on Sunday.
Rouse, the school's career rushing leader, had one of the slowest times among running backs after running the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds. The fastest time by a running back was 4.34 seconds.
Rouse also finished tied for the fewest reps on the bench press, lifting 225 pounds 15 times compared to the top mark of 36.
Rouse already has the difficult task of getting NFL scouts to overlook his 5-foot-6, 190-pound stature -- all signs that seem to hurt the Bulldogs back's chances of getting drafted.
El Diamante High graduate Stefphon Jefferson, the Nevada running back who left after his junior season, also didn't impress much in the 40-yard dash at 4.68 seconds.
