The local ladies of NOtown Roller Derby are dubbing their first bout of the 2013 season as the "Valentine's Slay Massacre." The bout is with the V-Town Derby Dames. Eight other bouts are on the schedule. NOtown Roller Derby is an amateur athletic organization bringing the sport of women's flat-track roller derby to Fresno. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Blues with Bonnie Raitt

Ten-time Grammy winner and American blues singer/songwriter Bonnie Raitt will perform at Table Mountain on Monday.

The 63-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Fame musician and political activist has had a lustrous career spanning four decades. Her most recent album, "Slipstream," was released in April 2012.

Sunday ska with Voodoo Glow Skulls

8 p.m. Sunday / Audie's Olympic, 1426 N. Van Ness Ave. / $5 / (559) 270-7634

It'll be a ska-filled night on Sunday at Audie's Olympic when longtime ska band Voodoo Glow Skulls performs.

Known for its "California street music," the Riverside-based band will headline a night scheduled with local ska bands Basura, Iwanaga!, Checkered Past, and special guests The Easy In and Slushi3 & Patron. Tickets are $5.

Hear the Hype

9 p.m. Saturday / Fulton 55, 875 Divisadero St. / $5 / (559) 412-7400

Local band 40 Watt Hype, with its fusion of hip-hop and Latinsounds, will headline the Delta 9ine Clothing anniversary and release party on Saturday at Fulton 55.

The eclectic night of music also will also include the local Viper City Brass Band, reggae/ska band White Glove Service and hip-hop group NoGenre. Tickets are $5.

Welsh soprano to perform

"Dancing with the Stars" favorite and Welsh soprano Katherine Jenkins performs with the Fresno Grand Opera Orchestra singing the music that has made her an international sensation.
