A fire in a classroom forced the evacuation of Reedley High School students to the football stadium Thursday afternoon, principal Rod Cisneros said.

The fire in a stand-alone classroom was reported about 1:15 p.m. during the students' lunch hour, Cisneros said. No one was in the classroom and no one was injured, he said. Classes resumed about 1:50 p.m.

Firefighters believe an electrical problem sparked the blaze, though the cause is still under investigation, he said.

Reedley High has about 1,950 students.
