Lanes on two major roads in Clovis will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday for utility work by Pacific Gas & Electric.

One northbound lane of Sunnyside Avenue will close between Magill and Boston avenues for utility work north of Herndon Avenue. One southbound lane of Fowler Avenue will be closed between Ellery and Escalon avenues.

Motorists are encouraged to plan their routes and give themselves enough time to travel through those areas safely or to avoid both areas.
