Olympic ski champion Lindsey Vonn crashed during a super-G run Tuesday at the world championships in Austria and was airlifted to a local hospital.
Vonn, the 2010 Olympic downhill champ and bronze medalist in the super-G, crashed after a jump and slid off the course. She was treated by medical personnel on the slope before being transported to a hospital in a helicopter.
The U.S. Ski Team said no further information on her condition was yet available.
Fog on the mountain delayed the start of Tuesday's race for more than three hours.
