Meryl Davis and Charlie White finished with a competition-best score of 197.44 and easily captured their fifth straight ice dance crown at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships on Saturday.

After placing first in Friday's short program, the duo took the top score in Saturday's free dance as well to win the championship. Their fifth title as a tandem matches the U.S. record for most all-time.

Davis and White easily outscored the competition, beating the second place duo of Madison Chock and Evan Bates by nearly 22 points. Chock and Bates ended with a total score of 175.91.

Maia and Alex Shibutani placed third with a total score of 174.21.
