Lemon Cove pastor releases new book
The pastor/founder of Ignited Word of God Ministries in Lemon Cove is the author of a new book.
Darlene Caulton has written "Healing Your Inner Man" (Tate, $12.99). She uses scriptural passages, as well as experiences in her life, to show readers how to overcome brokenness.

Ministry forum planned Feb. 21
The 2013 Central Valley Ministry Forum is scheduled at 8:15 a.m. Feb. 21 at the Special Events Center at Fresno Pacific University, 1717 S. Chestnut Ave.
The speaker is Shane Hipps, author of "Selling Water by the River: A Book About the Life Jesus Practiced and the Religion that Gets in the Way." He is the former lead teaching pastor at Mars Hill Bible Church in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Lecture on sacred objects
A lecture on "Treasures of Faith: Sacred Objects from the Armenian Churches of Constantinople and What They Tell us About Armenian Society and Culture" is at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, in the Alice Peters Auditorium at the University Business Center at Fresno State.
Ronald Marchese, professor of ancient history and archaeology at the University of Minnesota Duluth, is the speaker. The talk is based on his recent research in Constantinople/Istanbul.

Mariposa church holds rummage sale
St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mariposa, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary with special events this year, is holding its Ladies Guild rummage sale 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. next Saturday, Feb. 2, at the church's parish hall, 4985 Bullion St.
