BOYS BASKETBALL
-- Central Section top-ranked Bullard had 11 players score, no one getting more than 10, in a 66-36 victory over Sanger that keeps alive a County/Metro Athletic Conference showdown next week with No. 4 Edison. The Knights are 75-13 overall and 52-3 vs. section competition with two Division I titles in the past three years. Malik Muhammad had 21 in Edison's 83-43 win over Madera. The Tigers play at Bullard next Wednesday.
-- No. 7 Clovis North, playing without freshman star Colin Slater (hamstring), beat Clovis East 54-44 in the Tri-River Athletic Conference. The Broncos on Friday host No. 9 Central, a 60-55 winner over Clovis. Sophomore Michael Orlich scored 13 as No. 8 Clovis West beat Buchanan 66-44.
-- Sunnyside, No. 1 in D-II, received 16 points from Jalonni McCorvey to remain unbeaten in the North Yosemite League with a 72-45 rout of Roosevelt.
-- Austin Molezzo, a 6-4 freshman, scored 20 in No. 5 Mission Oak's 71-41 East Yosemite League throttling of of Tulare Western.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
-- D-III top-ranked Selma rolled 58-40 at Dinuba behind Erin Pallesi's 27 points. The Bears, eighth-ranked overall, are 21-1 in pursuit of their first section title.
BOYS SOCCER
-- Armando Covarrubias scored in overtime to lift Bullard over Edison 2-1 in the County/Metro Athletic Conference.
-- Javier Herrejon, Billy East and Brandon Goldman had goals as Buchanan beat section No. 8 Clovis North 3-1 in the TRAC. Johnny Nakamura scored in the 99th minute, giving Clovis West a 2-1 victory over Clovis in overtime of another TRAC match.
