Buchanan High School will hold its annual memorial blood drive today and Thursday for beloved Buchanan instructor Matt Mueller.

The event will be at Buchanan's multipurpose room from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. for students and 2:30 to 7 p.m. for the public.

Donors must be in good health, weigh at least 110 pounds and be at least 17. The blood center will accept 16-year-old donors with written parental consent.

The Central California Blood Center suggest donors should eat a good meal and drink plenty of water prior to donation.

A photo ID and Social Security number are required at donor registration.

The community will also have the opportunity to register as bone marrow donors.
