A 41-year-old woman suspected in five armed robberies in Clovis and Fresno over the past three weeks was arrested Monday, Fresno police said.

The robberies began Dec. 30. A lone woman with a handgun was described as the suspect in each robbery.

The robberies ended Monday when the same bandit robbed Kimbo's Donuts, 1047 B St. in Fresno, police said. She waved a handgun at the owner and customers, demanded money and fled in a car.

Patrons provided police with a detailed description of the getaway car. Moments later, a detective saw a woman in the same car pull into the Relax Inn at 1425 N. Golden State Ave.

The woman went inside a motel room and the gun used in the robbery was tossed out the back window, police said. She was later arrested as she exited the room.

She was booked into Fresno County Jail on suspicion of armed robbery

Anyone with information about the woman's involvement in other robberies is asked to call detective Brandi Phebus at (559) 621-2427
