-- Junior guard Samantha Earl, in the biggest game of her three-year career, scored eight of her 33 points in OT while powering No. 6 Clovis to a 70-64 win at No. 1 Stockdale in a nonleague game that figures to have a major impact on Division I seeding in five weeks. The Cougars (13-5) led 52-40 entering the fourth quarter vs. the Mustangs (11-4), who have made seven of the past eight D-I finals, winning twice.
-- Michelle Brown had 22 points and 13 rebounds in Hoover's 58-47 win over Clovis East.
BOYS BASKETBALL
-- Corey Silverstrom had 24 points to lead 12 Bullard scorers as the top-ranked Knights beat Clovis 88-45.
-- Josue Salaam scored 33 points as West Yosemite League-leading Hanford West beat Golden West 72-61.
-- Kane Cooper's 34 points powered Selma past Sierra 65-57
GIRLS SOCCER
-- Megan Mets forced overtime by scoring with 3 minutes remaining, then got behind the defense and pumped in her third goal of the game in OT to lift Clovis West over Clovis North 3-2 in the Tri-River Athletic Conference. Also in the TRAC, goals by Jessica Staicer and Caitlyn Kreutz were the difference in 1-0 wins for Clovis (over Clovis East) and Buchanan (over Central), respectively.
-- Adriana Brambilla's goal in overtime sent McLane past Reedley 1-0 in the North Yosemite League.
-- Felicity Rodriguez had a hat trick as Fowler downed Riverdale 4-2 in the West Sequoia League
