Prep sports highlights: Selma wins soccer tournament

BOYS SOCCER

Selma followed a run to the Gold Division championship at the Harold S. Young tournament over the weekend by riding two goals from Tony Torres to a 3-0 win over Kerman. The Bears are now 7-0, including a 3-2 win over El Toro-Lake Forest in the Harold S. Young tourney final.

Two-time defending Central Section Division I champion Buchanan received goals from Javier Herrejon, Osvaldo Ramirez and Billy East in a 3-0 win over Edison.

GIRLS SOCCER

Taylor Brechmann scored twice as Clovis North, last season's D-II champion, topped Madera 3-0.

Clovis East's Brooke Bingham and Fresno's D.J. Ortiz each recorded hat tricks, with the Timberwolves beating Sierra 3-0 and the Warriors topping Minarets 8-0
