Former Orange Cove Mayor Victor Lopez and challenger Diana Guerra Silva were leading against Orange Cove City Council incumbents Gilbert Garcia and Gloria E. Gonzalez in early returns. Lopez has 28%, Silva 27%, Gardia 23% and Gonzalez 21%.

Meanwhile, recall efforts appeared to be succeeding against council members Glenda Hill and Frank Martinez, with 53% voting to recall Hill and 51% voting to recall Martinez.

If the recall is successful, Lopez allies Bertha Alicia Del Bo and Ralph Pardo would replace Hill and Martinez.
