Published: October 9, 2012

Clovis police arrested two men and one woman Tuesday at two hotels on suspicion of credit card theft, drugs and possession of identity-theft tools.

A hotel employee at the Hampton Inn and Suites on Gettysburg and Clovis avenues called 911 around 1:15 p.m. to report suspicious activity after the three suspects rented a room for eight nights using a bogus credit card, police said.

Police arrested two men, 31 and 29, at the hotel. The woman, 25, ran to the nearby Homewood Suites, where police caught her in the hotel lobby.

All three suspects were arrested on suspicion of felony and misdemeanor counts. Detectives are investigating any ties the suspects may have to other credit card thefts in the area, police said.
