A December rock doubleheader is coming to Fresno's Save Mart Center -- 3 Doors Down and Daughtry.

The two rock bands announced their co-headlining tour on Monday morning, and Fresno is on the itinerary for Dec. 13. P.O.D. opens.

Tickets for the show go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, costing $29.50, $39.50 and $49.50.

They'll be available at the Save Mart Center box office, at Ticketmaster locations, including many Save Mart supermarkets, online at ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000.

It'll be 3 Doors Down's first time at Save Mart Center. For Daughtry, it'll be a second trip. He played there in 2010.

Some people might think this is a homecoming for Daughtry bass player Josh Paul, who lives in Clovis. But it, in fact, is not. Paul recently announced he is leaving Daughtry and his run with the band is ending before the upcoming U.S. tour.

A Strait reminder

While we're on the subject of Save Mart Center concerts going on sale this week, let's not forget about country icon George Strait.

We wrote last week in this column about the singer's Feb. 1 date at Save Mart Center, part of his "A Cowboy Rides Away" tour.

Consider this your reminder that tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. They'll cost $72.50 and $92.50. Martina McBride opens.

Grizzly Fest

Amid all the accolades Fresno-bred rapper Fashawn has collected through his rise to hip-hop fame, here is a new one for him -- his own festival.

Fashawn will headline Grizzly Fest 2012, scheduled for Nov. 17 at the Fresno Fairgrounds.

In addition to Fashawn, the concert will include a mixture of national and local talent.

Indie hip-hop star Murs, who just released an album with Fashawn, is the biggest name. Husalah, Strong Arm Steady and Thurzday of UNI are the other out-of-towners.

From the local scene Grizzly Fest fans will see: Omar Aura, Diego Redd & Shake Da Major, L ! Z, California Galaxy, Iceman, Syrup, The Kid Ryan and D Fonz & Remedy.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday at The Boardroom (Fresno), SBI (Fresno), The Future (Hanford) and Vice City Barbershop (Visalia). They're also available online at LiveMusicCity.com. Tickets cost $22.

At the Hanford Fox

Country veteran Marty Stuart is the latest big name bringing his act to the Hanford Fox Theatre.

Stuart will perform there April 25. Tickets are on sale now costing $27.50, $35 and $42.50.

Here's something interesting the Fox has lined up for this week: It's having a "Dark Side of Oz" show on Thursday.

What's that, you ask? It's the "Wizard of Oz" playing on the big screen with no sound and Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" playing instead.

It starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10.

Also coming up at the Hanford Fox Theatre: bluegrass band Old Tire Swingers (Nov. 10, $20), Moscow Ballet (Dec. 13, $27.50-$175), country singer Buck Ford (Dec. 14, $20) and 1940s Big Band Review "In The Mood" (March 19, $29-$49).
