Kasey Kahl, a reality television star from Clovis, pleaded innocent Friday morning in Fresno County Superior Court to felony assault in a Fresno nightclub earlier this year.

Kahl, 29, is alleged to have struck a man in the face during a bar confrontation.

Following his plea, Kahl's lawyer, Gerald Schwab, said he has found several witnesses that said Kahl was trying to defend himself after being attacked.

Kahl faces two counts of assault likely to cause great bodily injury, one count of battery with serious bodily injury and one count of disorderly conduct related to being drunk or under the influence of drugs.

Schwab said the bar's owner told him that Kahl was at the bar, but "he was very calm and wasn't drunk."

Kahl has been on "The Bachelorette" and "Bachelor Pad" reality television shows.

His next hearing is scheduled for Oct. 2.
