Two potential contracting teams for California's high-speed rail project will hold meetings with prospective small-business subcontractors in Clovis and Fresno.

California High-Speed Rail Partners will meet from 8 a.m. to noon Monday at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District Building, 808 Fourth St. in Clovis. To make a reservation or for more details, visit www.chsrpartners.com or email chsrpartners @fluor.com.

California High-Speed Ventures will hold its meeting from 4 to 7 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center, 2230 Ventura St. in Fresno. More information is available at www.highspeedventures.com.

The state's high-speed rail authority has established goals for prime contractors to meet for including small businesses and disadvantaged businesses, including businesses owned by women, minorities or disabled veterans, in contracting opportunities on the initial $6 billion construction project in the central San Joaquin Valley.
