Clovis police are looking for a 40-year-old transient who is a suspect in making counterfeit money, burglaries and identity theft that could involve as many as 100 victims.
The search for Michael Kitley started Friday when police went to the Marriott Fairfield Inn at 50 N. Clovis Ave. to take a report on a burglary in a room. Just before officers arrived at the hotel, someone reportedly saw Kitley jump out of a second-floor window and run away.
Police searched a room and a vehicle and found counterfeit cash and stolen items, including electronics, cameras, purses, and credit, debit and identification cards. They also found evidence of identity theft.
Two women, 23 and 24, were arrested.
The room and rented vehicle allegedly were obtained with a stolen debit card, police said.
