He's qualified because: Runner-up to Bullard's Niko Pacheco as Bee Player of the Year, he was the first Central Section prep selected in the June Major League draft (seventh round, Chicago White Sox), as a catcher. The 6-2, 220-pounder and CMAC co-Player of the Year hit .493 with eight home runs and 25 RBIs, and struck out 104 in 70 innings. He's the first overall All-State baseball selection (Cal-Hi Sports) in the Sunnyside program's 12-year history.
