He's qualified because: Central Sequoia League Most Valuable Player and City/County All-Star standout went 9-3 with a 0.40 ERA, giving up only 27 hits and striking out 112 in 69 2/3 innings. Opponents scored but seven runs on him -- four earned. The 6-4, 185-pound left-hander also hit .402 for a 19-8 team that won the CSL at 10-2.
