He's qualified because: Playing on a team with The Bee's Player of the Year, Niko Pacheco, and and a POY finalist in Blake Quinn, it was Wells who shared the County/Metro Athletic Conference POY award with Sunnyside's Jose Barraza. Wells hit .324, scoring 27 runs and stealing 13 bases as the Knights' leadoff hitter, and was 6-0 with a 2.23 ERA as a pitcher.
