He's qualified because: Three-year varsity player and school valedictorian with 4.5 GPA, he had 285 kills, 51 blocks and 54.3 hitting percentage -- unofficially No. 2 in state. "He wasn't a highlight-reel type of guy," Bears coach John Jay says, "but he was the most efficient hitter on the team by far. You could easily make an argument for (Bee) MVP for him."
